Why virtual law works
Over the course of my practice, legal proceedings have raced from primarily in-person, on-paper dealings to the current e-filing, e-mail world in which we live. Every year, we push toward smartphone-dominance. In response, I feel it’s important to provide legal services for people that want to handle their legal affairs online like they do their banking and grocery ordering. An online, virtual law practice just makes sense for the client as well as the lawyer.
What we do
I can do as much or as little as you need. Sometimes it’s as easy as explaining a DIY form. Maybe you need a legal heavy-hitter to make an influential call on your behalf. At an impasse? Accessibility
As a virtual attorney, I have more flexibility in scheduling. We will both have mobile access to your legal files so I am just a phone-call or email away. You can be on vacation and give me a call from the road. I am responsive. Unless I’m in court helping someone else, I can usually get back to you within just a couple of hours. Nights excluded of course. I am not a vampire lawyer. And speaking of vampires, I will not suck you dry in unnecessary fees.
Convenience
No office visits means no time off work. You can keep on with your life with limited inconvenience. Technology is great! With the secure client portal we can exchange information instantaneously. Often times, we can e-file your case with the courts to save you even more time.
Pay-as-you-go
Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar law firms, you will not be paying for dusty leather-bound books that nobody uses or 12 empty chairs in an impressive-looking conference room. As long as we both have a computer or smartphone, we can get our work done just fine, thank you very much. So what does that mean for you? I don’t have the overhead-beast to feed. Rates are lower than at our full-service law firm. A much lower retainer is needed. Pay online if you like.
